3.  What proportion of all scores in this sample falls between the raw scores of 65 and 35?

Answer
The area between z = .79 and z = -.79 is .5704. This is calculated by checking the "Mean to z" column for z = .79, which is .2852, and multiplying this value by 2.

4.  What proportion of all scores in this sample is above a raw score of 40?

Answer
The area above z = -.53 is .7019. This is calculated by checking the "Mean to z" column for z = -.53, which is .2019, and adding .5 to this for the positive half of the distribution.

5.  What proportion of all scores in this sample is above a raw score of 60 and below 35?

Answer
Area above z =.53 and below z = -.79 is .5129. This is calculated by looking in the "Smaller Portion" column for z =.53, which is .2981, and for z = -.79, which is .2148, and adding these values together.

6.  What would the raw scores that border the middle 50% of all the raw scores be for this data set? (Hint: these scores don't actually exist in the sample. You'll have to calculate what they would be.)
